Aix-Marseille University

Aix-Marseille University (AMU), the largest university in the French-speaking world, was created in 2012 from the merger of three universities, encompassing more than 76,000 students and almost 4,000 academics. Recognised for its initiative of excellence in 2012 by an international jury, AMU has created with its partners the A*Midex Foundation, a projects accelerator with a cluster approach, organised in five interdisciplinary and intersectoral areas: energy; environment and Earth; health; sciences and advanced technologies; and humanities, with outstanding results and solid reputation in, amongst others materials science, nanotechnologies/ nanosciences, optics/photonics, mathematics, data, etc.

 

Our innovation policy is based on efficient local ecosystem of technological transfer, start-ups creations and long-lasting relationships with SMEs and industrial partners.
