DePuy Synthes is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. DePuy Synthes focuses on the manufacture of orthopaedic implants to deal with joint issues resulting from degenerative diseases, deformities, trauma and sports-related injuries.
DePuy Synthes established a manufacturing facility in Ringaskiddy (Ireland) in 1997. The site predominately manufactures orthopaedic knee, hip and shoulder-replacement joints. In the last ten years the facility has attracted an increasing number of new products due to the dynamism and enthusiasm of the site and by maximising the use of research and innovation.
