FoF-Impact Project Concludes with Major Workshop

BRUSSELS, 1 December. FoF-Impact, the CSA project aiming to increase the impact of the ‘Factories of the Future’ partnership, concluded today with a major workshop under the theme “Factories of the Future: Making Innovation Happen”.

The workshop showcased the tangible outcomes, pilot actions and the experience gained through the FoF-Impact. Potential impact success factors including market aspects, IP management and upscaling, were discussed. Services associated to these success factors were presented, including a vision to take this further in the future.

Factories of the Future for Aerospace

On 22 & 23 November EFFRA (supported through the FoF-Impact coordination action) and Aerospace Valley in collaboration with CAPPADOCIA European project and Regional Council Nouvelle Aquitaine, held a workshop under the theme “Factories of the Future for Aerospace”.

The aim of the workshop was to stimulate the take up of results of pre-competitive projects in Aerospace industry and present actual and future innovative trends and emerging technologies. The workshop featured four Parallel ‘Pitch’ sessions, which focused on providing short and to-the-point presentations (‘pitches’) about innovative manufacturing technologies and approaches. Presentations were approximately ten minutes long.

FoF-Impact Concluding Event: Factories of the Future - Making Innovation Happen

On 1 December 2016 the FoF-Impact coordination action project will hold a major workshop: Factories of the Future – Making Innovation Happen. The workshop will take place in the Diamant Building (Brussels).

This event, organised by the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) through the FoF-Impact Coordination Action, aims at:

  • Showing the tangible outcome of the FoF-7-2014 CSAs, in particular in terms of services that stimulate industrial exploitation
  • Promoting services offered by other service providers (including CEN-CENELEC, IPR-Helpdesk, etc.)
  • Indicating how project consortia can address ‘impact success factors’ in the earlies stages of a project, not the least during the project proposal preparation phase
  • Promoting exploitable results (around 14 ‘pitch’ presentations are scheduled)
