Joined by more than 100 European associations, EFFRA is urging the EU Institutions to significantly increase the budget for the upcoming Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10). The joint statement emphasises the critical role of collaborative research, development, and innovation (RD&I) in securing Europe’s industrial future and advocates for a significant increase in the FP10 budget to secure Europe’s industrial future.

“North American and Asian competitors are advancing quickly. To stay ahead, Europe must significantly increase funding for R&D and innovation, ensuring that both R&D as well as production remain ‘Made in Europe’. Through efficient cooperation between stakeholders and governments, we can reclaim our global leadership in technology and manufacturing.” – Olaf Pannenbäcker, EFFRA Chairman

In line with our mission, EFFRA continues to highlight the need for collaborative research, development, and innovation (RD&I) to uphold European competitiveness. By fostering  enabling collaboration between industry, RTOs, academia and governments, EFFRA aims to accelerate technological advancements and enhance the global standing of European manufacturing.

EFFRA’s strategic participation in FP10 is crucial for promoting collaborative research, leveraging industry expertise, and stimulating private investments. These efforts align with EFFRA’s mission to drive technological innovation, address industrial challenges, and support the EU’s green and digital transitions. Through substantial funding and strategic focus, EFFRA aims to maintain Europe’s leadership in global innovation and foster a sustainable, competitive industrial sector.
